Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work with Procore workflows?

You will continue to perform your Procore activities (i.e action plans, submittals, inspections etc) as normal within procore. As soon as these activities are created and saved, they will automatically be accessible into Extractus where you will then be able to extract and download with a few clicks the activity as well as all references and attachments within the activity to your local desktop.

Does it interact with the Procore correspondence tool?

It interacts with correspondence within the action plans tool and will soon interact with the correspondence tool itself.

Do you support users?

You can invite users within the interface to access projects or specific projects.

Do you support Procore users?

We currently don’t support the Procore user’s directory, however you can create new users within the interface and invite them to specific projects.

How secure is the app? Do you have any certifications, etc.

Smoothx leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) & DigitalOcean as our Infrastructure. AWS/DigitalOcean provide Smoothx and our customers the flexibility to scale as needed, and the knowledge that all data is hosted securely and privately. AWS/DigitalOcean provides the physical security access controls to the physical hardware used to provide the Smoothx solution. What kind of data is stored?

Extractus temporarily stores the archive generated for each export, which is automatically deleted within 30 days of its creation.

Where is the data stored?

Based on your location, the data is stored in a local server for your region.

What are the supported tools?

Currently the supported tools are action plans, submittals, inspections, observations, forms, meetings and drawings.

How customizable is the export structure?

Depending on the tool, the export structure will alter to best organise the data. Future releases will allow you to tailor folder naming conventions as well as folder structures per project, per tool.

Do I require an internet or Procore connection to access the export?

No, once the export is extracted, it is locally downloaded to your device and therefore can be accessed without Procore or internet access.

What is the maximum size that I can export?

The export is limited to a maximum of 10GB; however, the limit can be reviewed on a per project basis.

Are all the attachments and related records included in the extract?

Yes. All attachments and records are locally downloaded with the extract. They will present as hyperlinks on the extract, and when clicked will open locally, thus can be accessed without Procore or internet access.

How does the licence structure work?

The licence structure is a combination of annual construction volume and number of projects you will be utilizing Extractus for.
